Trevor Castledine joined LGPS Central as Chief Commercial Officer in 2024, bringing with him extensive LGPS experience as well as expertise in private markets and the broader investment management industry. A Chartered Accountant and former Investment Banker, Trevor was already a member of the LGPS community having worked as Investment Director for Private Credit at LGPS pooling entity LPPI and Deputy CIO at Lancashire County Pension Fund (LCPF).

He also worked as an investment consultant to a number of LGPS funds and pools and served as an Independent Adviser to the South Yorkshire Pensions Authority. Always an innovator, Trevor played a pivotal role in creating a pioneering £1.5 billion allocation to alternative credit at LCPF, earning numerous industry accolades, including the Institutional Investor European peer-to-peer award for ‘Best Use of Private Markets’. Alongside his role at LGPS Central, Trevor acts as an NED on the board of a regional direct lending fund manager based in the Northeast of England.
