Michael has 30 years of experience in Global Private Real Estate markets, notably in the management and execution of investment strategy across the European and APAC regions.

Prior to joining Savills IM he spent over 15 years at Nuveen Real Estate where he held various roles including CIO and Head of Funds Management, EMEA; and CIO, Europe and APAC; Head of UK Investment; as well as Fund Manager and Fund Director for various strategies. Michael also chaired the Nuveen Europe and APAC Investment Committees for both Equity and Debt for close to a decade; was a member of the Global Executive Leadership Team and a Director of various regulated and non-regulated boards at Nuveen.

Prior to joining Nuveen Real Estate, Michael was the Fund Manager for two large retail/mixed use focused strategies at aberdeen Real Estate with further oversight responsibilities for all retail assets under aberdeen management. Prior to this role, he was an Associate Director at Hammerson, where he worked on transactions, development and asset management activities. Michael graduated with a B.Sc. Honors, in Urban Land Economics from Sheffield Hallam University and is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and FCA approved.
