Andrew Chorlton joined M&G Investments in 2024 as Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income.

Andrew has over 25 years of experience in fixed income markets managing teams of experienced, high performing fund managers. He has direct portfolio management experience in Global Fixed Income, US multi-sector and credit strategies in both Europe and the US. He joins from Schroders, where he served as Head of Fixed Income and a member of Schroders Group Management Committee. In this role, he was responsible for a Fixed Income division managing £135 billion with over 200 investment, research, risk and product professionals based in the US, UK, Europe, South America, Asia and Australia. Prior to this he held the role of Head of US Multi-Sector and Fixed Income Solutions.

Andrew has led the development of multiple innovative strategies and client solutions across many areas of Fixed Income including sustainability, quantitative credit, semi-liquid credit, emerging market debt, tax-aware and opportunistic strategies into markets around the world including the launch of active ETF strategies in the US. Andrew joined Schroders following their acquisition of STW in 2013 and led the successful integration of the investment team and clients following the move to New York.

Prior to his time in the US, he was a portfolio manager at AXA Investment Managers and Citigroup Asset Management in London.
